If you're looking at all of this and you're a bit intimidated, or you've never been to an event like this before, we can offer you some help.

It's simple:

1. Please read our MAGFest Code of Conduct. If you're under 18, you're also going to need this consent form.
2. Preregister for MAGFest. You save $5 and a little time in line. Take Note! If you're not able to preregister, you can still attend - you just need to bring cash to the door.
3. Staying at the hotel? Get a room. Your MAGFest registration is completely separate from your room reservation. Take Note! Be sure to get your room in advance to get the discounted rate. There's no cancellation fees as long as you cancel a few days in advance.
4. Plan your trip to MAGFest wisely. We've got Directions page that will hopefully assist you, no matter how you plan to get to MAGFest. Also, if you think we're doing something cool, maybe you'd like to help us by volunteering some of your time. If you work long enough, you can even get your money back.
5. It's good to realise that you're not going to get anything in the mail from either of us. So, once it's time to go to MAGFest, just bring some form of picture ID and your paypal receipt with you.
6. A little checklist for you:
   • Photo ID
   • Paypal receipt (from your email)
   • Eat & drink fluids
   • Bathe
   • Sleep
   • Have fun!

As we mentioned before, preregistering definitely has its benefits:

• We'll already have your information in our system, instead of you having to give it to us at registration.
• We have a lot of up-front costs that we need to cover, like plane tickets, printing fees, shirts, and down payments, and your prereg money helps.
• It gives us an idea of expected turnout for the show, and we can use those numbers to make sure the hotel and others are prepared for the crowd.
• All the cool people are doing it (though seriously, you could certainly mention to all your friends that you're going).
• You'll save five bucks!
• We don't exactly have corporate sponsorship. Our "real" sponsors are us, and the people that employ us at our day jobs, and ultimately our paychecks. We budget by how much money we have, not how much we think we'll make.

Once you arrive, either go to the hotel front desk and get your room or come to our MAGFest registration desk and we'll identify you, give you a badge to hang around your neck, and hand over a few goodies. Be sure to wear it everywhere at MAGFest and you'll be able to get into any of the rooms where various things are going on. That's it!
